Lotte and Hanne Roemer

Is it possible to make a serious topic interesting, meaningful and entertaining? For Lotte Roemer it is so!

Lotte and Hanne Roemer

"One Woman and a Grand Piano" offers you an unusually combination of a concert and narrative art with the singer, the entertainer and the lecturer Lotte Roemer. Now she is inviting the saxophone player Hanne Roemer to join the show as an extra sprite to the performance.

Almost 30 years ago the two sisters played together in one of the first all woman rock bands in Denmark: Hos Anna. It became the first serious steps in two parallel musical carriers, where Lotte Romer resided on the big national rock stages and Hanne Ro
emer has visited both national and international jazz scenes.
For 20 years the two sisters have been moving around in different musical stiles and situations, but now they are together again. They offer new and old songs trimmed with Lotte
's entertainment – stories about humans, love and how it is to live as hearing-impaired person.

5 years ago Lotte Ro
emer began to give presentations on sound, hearing and hard of hearing problems. Her idea is to bring into daylight the problems that you run into when you have to live as a hearing-impaired person.

To-day – after more than 300 lectures not only in Denmark, but also in Norway, Sweden, Poland, Belgium, Germany and China – it is clear that this area needs a lot more of attention.  The latest investigations show, that every six Europeans – more than 37 millions of people - have problems with their hearing in such a degree, that it affects their daily living and communication skills. In Denmark it is more than 800.000 people, not to forget al those people in their surroundings: colleagues, family and friends.
Frankly spoken: being hearing-impaired concern all of us!
