Milan Drews
(b.1934) Art work and design.Grew up in Königsberg, East Germany and performed in his early 20’ies as a dancer and actor. Milan Drews studied art history and painting as well as sculpturing in Kiel, Hamburg and Berlin. 1964 he was nominated as a Master Student by the Academy.1965 – 66 Milan Drews was assistant of Henry Moore.
The first exhibitions came in 1964 in Berlin, Bremen and Wolfsburg. Later also exhibitions in England, Italy and New York as well as various galleries through out Germany.
Milan Drews is a professor in arts and design and was employed in Braunwschweig from 1967–96. In 88 he was a guest professor at Ruttgers University in New York, and later in 90 he left for Bandung in Indonesia also to teach and to make exhibitions. In 1995 he was e member of the cultural days in Kaliningrad.
His art work reaches from designs over colourful paintings to outstanding sculptures in all kinds of materials from steel, bronze and granite to wood.

"Alraune", bronze, Pharmakologisches Institute, Kiel. „Leben Christie", altar relief, Evangelische Kirche Altenholz; Sacral objects and colour scheme for church windows in Kreuzkirche Kiel, Poppenbrügge. Colour scheme: Paffrath and 6 art schools in Berlin. Crucifix, bronze, Ev. Kirche Dünwald; "Mercur", bronze Industry- and Chamber of Commerce Kiel. Street Equipments and Colour Designs Braunschweig/Weststadt.
In 2001 Milan Drews opened his own gallery in Raisdorf near Kiel.
