I began to play piano at the age of 6 and guitar at the age of 10. I got my first professional experiences in the Danish Radio Girls Choir form the age of 11. I bought my first saxophone when I was 25, and it became my main instrument and passion.
Hanne Roemer performs regularly with: Hanne Roemer/Marietta Wandall Duo. Plays original compositions and new interpretations of jazz-standards in a lyrical, expressive sound scape. Sax in the City Saxophone Quintet with Anselm Simon, Jonny Möller, Andreas Burckhardt, Hanne Roemer and Edgar Herzog. the Dee Dee Kay Quartet (D/DK4) with: Sandra Hempel, guitar; Henrik Carstens, bass; Markus Zell, percussion - plays modern Mainstream.
